Great Langdale Hillwalking Trip, 11th - 13th  February 2022

Pick up via RV available or Self Drive to the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel for a  2 night/3 day stay. 
​
This trip will involve 2 separate walking days as well as time to relax with good company in a historic Lake District hotel.
​
Breakfast, brew kits and packed lunches will be provided on this trip, however for the purpose of the walk please bring:

Suitable outdoor clothing for winter walking in the Lakes, including waterproofs, hat, gloves, thermals & walking boots.

Cost of accommodation and food is covered. Transport can also be provided by arrangement.

Normandy Battlefield Tour
12th - 16th May 2022

We will be travelling on the 12th May for 3 days of Battlefield Touring.

13 Bridges Walk – London
August 14th

One of our members (Howard "Chuck" Berry) plans to walk the 13 Bridges route that he walked a few weeks when in aid of the Saafa Charity.

​

This time he would like to do the walk with his peers from the LDPSG. 

 

The walk could be done to raise money for a chosen charity, all abilities absolutely welcome and encouraged to come along. It will not be a CFT – quite the opposite!

 

A walk and talk opportunity with like minded peers.

 

Outline of the day

 

  • 0930 Breakfast

  • Depart 10.30

  • Arrive at The Royal Chelsea Hospital 1400hrs (Approx.)

  • Disperse at your leisure from Chelsea

  • Dinner at 1900hrs Back at Tower Bridge Area (for those who wish to)

North East Walk & Talk
September 11th

Saturday September the 11th.

​

A chance to meet up and grab a brew with old comrades.

​

Meeting at the Eston Cenotaph at 9:30hrs TS6 9JD.

​

Walk back to Eston via Roseberry Topping & Eston Hills descending back to Eston square - ETA 14:00hrs. 


Ground firm pathed area moderate walk - 12 miles total. 


Food and beverages at The Queens in Eston if anyone wishes to attend after the Walk & Talk.

Hadrian's Wall Fundraising Walk 

Friday 24th September - Sunday 26th September

A team of volunteers from The Steadfast Group - a security company based in The North East - have stepped forward to take part in a Hadrian’s Wall Walk in order to raise awareness for The Light Dragoons Peer Support Group, with a target of £5000.00 to go toward helpful and lifesaving resources for the ex-servicemen and women.


The Steadfast Group are majorly formed by people with military backgrounds – with The Light Dragoons as their main regimental status.
